Where should curtains fall?

The way curtains fall — their length — is a matter of personal preference. The most popular options and their measuring methods are as follows:

If you want the curtains to rest at the windowsill, measure to 1 cm above the sill.
If you prefer the curtains to fall below the sill, add 15 cm.
If you want the curtains to be level with the floor, measure to 1 cm above the floor.
For a more traditional look, where the curtain slightly drapes onto the floor, add an extra 2 cm.

How to choose the right curtain size?

The most common curtain size is 140x250 cm. The correct curtain size depends on the measurements of the windows in your home where you plan to hang blackout curtains. It is important to remember that this curtain size also includes the 4 cm diameter rings used to attach the curtains. Therefore, if you want to measure or check which curtain length will fit your home, we recommend starting the measurement point a few centimeters above the curtain rod.

It is also important to keep in mind that due to fabric properties, the length and width tolerance of curtains is +/- 3 cm.

Should my curtains match the walls?

These curtains do not require special care. Before first use, it is recommended to wash them, and afterward, they should be washed every two weeks at 60 °C. To preserve the fabric’s quality and durability, it is also advised not to use bleach or other harsh chemicals.
